Mark Polk

I’m a senior research technician in the John Chodera Lab at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where I study protein kinase–small molecule inhibitor binding. This fall, I am beginning my PhD in The David Rockefeller Graduate Program in Bioscience at The Rockefeller University.

Previously, I performed undergraduate research with Dr. Markus Basan (Harvard Medical School) on microbial starvation physiology and Dr. John Higgins (Massachusetts General Hospital) on sickle hemoglobin solubility. I received my AB in applied mathematics from Harvard College in 2024.
